5. Security

Encryption: HTTPS/TLS for connections, database encryption at rest

Passwords: Encrypted with bcrypt (we never see plain text)

Access: Multi-factor auth for internal systems, need-to-know basis

No system is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard protections

6. Data Retention

  • • Active accounts: Data kept while account is active
  • • Inactive 2+ years: Deleted (warning at 18 months)
  • • Deleted accounts: Personal data erased in 30 days
  • • Legal compliance: Transaction records kept 7 years
